Support the school with a financial gift

School sign

We painted the school and bought a new, weather resistant sign to help show it off. But nothing can disguise the fact that our parking lot needs to be replaced.

Dear Magnolia School Community,

With your support, the school has accomplished big things. Just to name a few, you helped us:

  • Replace the air conditioning in both the elementary and middle schools
  • Put a new roof on the elementary school
  • Raise enough funds to meet our grant match to replace the bus

We need your help again. We need to deal at long last with the elementary school parking lot, which can no longer be patched together with mulch and pebbles. When we looked into it last year, we learned that there is no base on which to build. That, as you might have guessed, makes fixing the parking a big–and expensive–job. We are calling this fundraising effort the Build the Base Campaign.

Estimates put the cost upwards of $25,000. It’s a complicated job and if we’re going to finally do this, we have to do it right, both for the safety of our students and because its current state of disrepair damages our “curb appeal” for prospective families. We intend to work with an engineer and perhaps a landscape architect to ensure that we pursue the most efficient, environmentally friendly, and safe parking solution.

Please consider making a contribution. All contributions are tax deductible, and you will receive a receipt for your records.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could raise the funds and complete this project over our 2017 summer break? We will keep you informed of our ongoing progress.

Thank you for your continued support!
